The Bosque Bobcats will head out to square off against Academy for Technology and The Classics at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Bosque is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Sandia Prep: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Bosque blew Sandia Prep out of the water with a 59-32 final score. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Bosque can attribute much of their success to Jordan Kruft, who made all 7 shots he took racking up 16 points and three steals, and Josiah Wilson, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Kruft a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Oliver Tumolo, who posted ten points and seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Academy for Technology and The Classics was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They took a 66-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of West Las Vegas.
Bosque will need to focus on slowing down Cayleb Blea, one of several Academy for Technology and The Classics players who made an impact when they last played. He went 5-for-9 en route to 16 points and three steals. Blea has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. Another player making a difference was Joseph Trujillo III, who went 5-for-11 on his way to 14 points.
Even though they lost, Academy for Technology and The Classics smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in six consecutive games.
Academy for Technology and The Classics' loss dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Bosque, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Bosque against Academy for Technology and The Classics in their previous meeting back in January of 2020, as the squad secured a 62-30 win.
