Basketball Recap: Nash Bertram's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Stillwater S over Mid-Moore Christian

After flying high against Cristo Rey last Tuesday, Stillwater S came back down to earth. The Stillwater S Spartans took a 57-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mid-Moore Christian Tornados on Friday. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Tornados recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nash Bertram, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Bertram is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Charlie Wells, who posted ten points and seven assists.

It was another big night for Noah Moore, who earned 21 points for Mid-Moore Christian. Those 21 points gave Moore a new career-high. Dayton Crawley was another key player, putting up ten points.

Stillwater S's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Mid-Moore Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Stillwater S nor Mid-Moore Christian have any future games scheduled.
