Basketball Recap: Jaden Ramon Key Part of a Team Effort in Dine Warriors Win

Tse' Yi' Gai lost to Cottonwood Classical Prep back in November of 2021, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Tse' Yi' Gai Dine Warriors managed a 45-39 win over the Cottonwood Classical Prep Coyotes.

Tse' Yi' Gai's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaden Ramon, who went 5 of 7 en route to 19 points. Another player making a difference was Aiyana Trujillo, who posted 12 points.

Despite the loss, Cottonwood Classical Prep saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ryah Carlson went 11 of 14 on her way to 28 points and three steals. The contest was Carlson's eighth in a row with at least ten points.

The win got Tse' Yi' Gai back to even at 1-1. As for Cottonwood Classical Prep, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Tse' Yi' Gai wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 44-28 defeat against Mora on the 7th. As for Cottonwood Classical Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-24 loss against Pine Hill on the 7th.
