Volleyball Recap: Glenbrook South's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Glenbrook South had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Loyola Academy Ramblers. The Titans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Ramblers, too.

While Glenbrook South might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Loyola Academy scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-21.

Glenbrook South was led to victory by Isaiah Paek and Anand Khatanbaatar. Paek had eight digs and three assists, while Khatanbaatar had 24 assists and seven digs. Khatanbaatar is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 15 or more in each of the last six games he's played.

Glenbrook South pushed their record up to 24-11 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Loyola Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-20.

Glenbrook South does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Loyola Academy, they will head out to face off against Vernon Hills at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
