Volleyball Game Preview: Gonzaga Prep Bullpups vs. Kamiakin Braves

The Gonzaga Prep Bullpups are taking a road trip to challenge the Kamiakin Braves at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Gonzaga Prep sitting on ten straight victories and Kamiakin on 13.

Gonzaga Prep is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top against Mead by a score of 3-1.

Gonzaga Prep had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-16, 25-11, 25-19.

Gonzaga Prep can attribute much of their success to Noella Migliuri, who hit 100% for eight kills and 11 digs, three aces, and one block. Those eight kills gave Migliuri a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Kamiakin narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Lewis & Clark 3-2.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Kamiakin got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 23-25, 25-19, 25-27, 15-12.

Gonzaga Prep's record now sits at 29-1. As for Kamiakin, their record is now 20-1.
