Fike put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the East Wake Warriors by a score of 68-55. Given the Demons' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 55th, while the Warriors are ranked 302nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fike's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamaria Freeman, who dropped a double-double with 27 points and 15 rebounds. Freeman's evening made it 14 games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points. Jewel Brewington was another key player, going 7-for-10 en route to 17 points along with five assists and five steals.

Fike smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 11 consecutive matchups.

Despite the loss, East Wake still got an impressive performance from Lyelah Pitters, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Pitters a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylen Clack, who posted eight points and five assists.

Fike pushed their record up to 19-0 with the victory, which was their 20th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for East Wake, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.

Fike has already played their next game, a 75-40 win against West Johnston on the 12th. As for East Wake, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-26 victory against Southern Wayne on the 10th.
