The West Plains Wolves will face off against the Canyon Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. West Plains is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

West Plains is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Dumas just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 14-4 to the Demons. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wolves have suffered since March 4th.

Emory Chancler was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Brooklynn Diaz, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Canyon got the win against Borger on Tuesday by a conclusive 11-1. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by six runs or more this season.

Canyon has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-11-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for West Plains, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-14-1.
