Softball Recap: Maret Takes a Loss

If Maret was riding high fresh off their 24-0 takedown of Jackson-Reed last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Maret Frogs lost 15-0 to Holton-Arms on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Frogs of the 15-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Maret's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maret will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Andrew's Episcopal at 4:30 p.m. on April 2nd. The game will give St. Andrew's Episcopal their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. Holton-Arms also won't see the field for a while: their next matchup is against Sidwell Friends at 4:15 p.m. on April 3rd.
