Basketball Recap: Avinger Comes Up Short

Avinger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat. They were dealt an 88-25 loss at the hands of the Saltillo Lions. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 69-24 back in January.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Kendyn Moore and De'Angelo McIntrye, who each put up ten points.

Avinger's defeat dropped their record down to 1-24. As for Saltillo, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 22-11 record this season.

Avinger will face off against Avery at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Avery will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Avinger surely won't give up without a fight. As for Saltillo, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Saltillo Lions duke it out with the Bloomburg Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
