Baseball Recap: Kickapoo Takes a Loss

Kickapoo blew Joplin out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Joplin got their revenge. The Chiefs fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-0. The Chiefs were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior), but the Eagles' pitchers proved too tough.

Kickapoo's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-16. As for Joplin, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-15.

Coming up, Kickapoo will take on Republic at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chiefs are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Joplin, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Nixa on the 24th.
