 Roy was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight  defeat. They took  a  15-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northridge Knights. That's two games in a row now that Roy has lost by  exactly four  runs.
  Lorelai Sherrod stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-4 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.  Kylee Weitzel was another key contributor,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs, a  triple,  and two  RBI.
 On Northridge's side,  Kaylee Shirreffs was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with a  home run, three  runs,  and four  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kaydence Chournos, who  got on base  in four of her five plate appearances with a  home run, four  runs,  and two  RBI.
 Roy's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Northridge, their victory  ended  a  five-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 3-6.
 Roy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  a  13-2  defeat vs. Bountiful on the 12th. Northridge has also already played their next match,  a  3-1  loss against Davis on the 12th.
