Volleyball Recap: Wapahani Has No Trouble Against Richmond

Wapahani won the last time they faced Richmond and things went their way on Monday too. The Raiders put the hurt on the Red Devils with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Wapahani took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-13, 25-15.

Marin Hopkins paced Wapahani's offense, picking up 15 kills. Hopkins got some help from Caroline Huntzinger and her 33 assists. Kami Rivers controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Wapahani now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Richmond, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wapahani will head out to face off against Blue River Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Raiders their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Richmond, they are taking a road trip to take on Greenfield-Central at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
