Basketball Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Bolles' Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Bolles unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Friday. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 64-51 loss to the Grandview Prep Pride.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Terrell McCoy, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Presley Norman, who posted 13 points and five assists.

Even though they lost, Bolles smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in ten consecutive games.

Bolles' defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Grandview Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Bolles wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 57-46 loss against Montverde Academy Gold on the 4th. As for Grandview Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-44 victory against Miami Country Day on the 4th.
