Soccer Recap: Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Takes a Loss

Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Shelby Golden Lions by a score of 3-2. The Gryphons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Ella Duncan wasn't going to let Shelby walk away unscathed as she scored both of Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy's goals, bringing her season total up to seven goals.

Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Shelby, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Coincidentally, Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy and Shelby will both be playing Cherryville the next time they take the pitch. Shelby will host Cherryville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
