Basketball Recap: Mansfield Comes Up Short

After flying high against Boswell last Tuesday, Mansfield came back down to earth. The Mansfield Tigers fell 64-53 to the Lake Ridge Eagles on Friday. The Tigers have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Lake Ridge was led to victory by Shaqir Pack and Eze Nwakamma. Pack dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 boards, while Nwakamma dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. That's the most points Pack has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kyle Amadi, who posted 11 points.

Mansfield's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Lake Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 27-2 record this season.

Mansfield will head out to take on Crowley at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake Ridge, they will host North Crowley at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with North Crowley sitting on five straight wins and Lake Ridge on seven.
