On Monday, Chelsea faced Mortimer Jordan in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Chelsea Hornets were the clear victor by a 52-26 margin over the Mortimer Jordan Blue Devils. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 matches by 23 points or more this season.

The victory was the tenth in a row for Chelsea, bringing their record for this year to 20-7. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.4 points. As for Mortimer Jordan, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 17-7 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chelsea will take on Moody at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Moody has won three straight at home, while Chelsea won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Mortimer Jordan, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Springville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Springville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Mortimer Jordan likes a good challenge.
