Softball Game Preview: Salem Wildcats vs. West Bolivar Eagles

The Salem Wildcats will take on the West Bolivar Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Salem is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Lawrence County just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 9-3.

Meanwhile, West Bolivar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 21-4 to Leland. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Janiya Bovan was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and four RBI.

West Bolivar now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Salem, their loss dropped their record down to 13-11.
