Middletown took a nine-run defeat the last time they faced off against Caesar Rodney, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cavaliers skirted past the Riders 2-1. For the Cavaliers, this counts as revenge for the 10-1 win the Riders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Middletown's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Caesar Rodney, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Coming up, Middletown will be playing in front of their home fans against Conrad Science at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Caesar Rodney, they will venture away from home to take on Polytech at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
