Basketball Recap: Joliet West Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Joliet West, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 56-47 win over the Manual Rams on Saturday. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 74-73 loss the last time these two teams met.

Joliet West is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Manual, they moved to 13-6 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Joliet West and Manual could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Joliet West (ranked 69th) will meet Homewood-Flossmoor (ranked 12th) at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, Manual will square off against Rock Island at 6:00 p.m. on Monday down 48 places (61 vs. 13).
