The win continues a trend for the Sandcrabs in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won four in a row.
Calhoun saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cayson Laredo, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI. Another was Tanner Amerson, who earned one RBI and two runs.
Sinton's victory bumped their record up to 17-6-1. As for Calhoun, they now have a winning record of 13-12-3.
Calhoun's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Sinton hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .352.
