Modesto Christian came into Tuesday's match having lost 11 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Stone Ridge Christian Knights by a score of 13-9 on Tuesday. The Crusaders' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Teegan Davis and Austin Mingham made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Davis struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Mingham didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Davis has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. At the plate, Davis scored four runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances, while Mingham scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Davis is becoming a predictor of Modesto Christian's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 0-12 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Christian Duden, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mike Martinez, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Modesto Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .585. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stone Ridge Christian only posted an OBP of .429.
