Softball Game Preview: Foreman Gator Arkansas vs. Ouachita Warriors

The Foreman Gator Arkansas are taking a road trip to take on the Ouachita Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Foreman is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 13 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Horatio on Monday. They came up short against the Lions, falling 18-1. The Gator Arkansas' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Ouachita scored first but ultimately less than Parkers Chapel in their match on Tuesday. They lost 14-4 to the Trojans.

Haley Eudy was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Kylee Morrison also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Foreman's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-5. As for Ouachita, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Foreman couldn't quite get it done against Ouachita in their previous meeting back in March of 2018 as they fell 10-7. Can the Gator Arkansas avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
