Salem Sayers Baptist Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Lifegate Christian 61-17. Salem Sayers Baptist Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-2.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lifegate Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lexi Crow, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Crow has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Elena Mendez, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Salem Sayers Baptist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Lifegate Christian, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-1.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Sunnybrook Christian the next time they take the court. Salem Sayers Baptist Academy will head out to face the Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Falcons will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
