Baseball Recap: Clay County Comes Up Short

Clay County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 11-0 to the Gordonsville Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 last Tuesday.

Clay County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Gordonsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Clay County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 21-4 loss against Westmoreland on the 11th. As for Gordonsville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-2 defeat against Lebanon on the 10th.
