Baseball Recap: Ayden - Grifton Wins Going Away Against North Pitt

Ayden - Grifton barely beat North Pitt the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Chargers were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Panthers on Thursday. The Chargers haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Ayden - Grifton let Jack Ewell and Camden Wilson run wild. Ewell went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Wilson scored three runs while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Wilson a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Nate Brooks, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Ayden - Grifton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Pitt only posted a batting average of .118.

Ayden - Grifton's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for North Pitt, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-10.

Ayden - Grifton has already played their next matchup, an 11-0 defeat against Corinth Holders on the 5th. As for North Pitt, they will head out on the road to take on Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pam Pack have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.5 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
