Volleyball Game Preview: Lyle/Pacelli Athletics vs. Glenville-Emmons Wolverines + How To Watch

Lyle/Pacelli hasn't had much luck against Glenville-Emmons recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Athletics will challenge the Wolverines at 6:45 p.m. Lyle/Pacelli will be strutting in after a victory while Glenville-Emmons will be coming in after a loss.

While Lyle/Pacelli's win against LeRoy-Ostrander wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Athletics sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Cardinals on Tuesday.

Lyle/Pacelli was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (106-90), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 12-25, 13-25, 25-23, 15-11.

Meanwhile, Glenville-Emmons came up short against Grand Meadow on Thursday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-7, 25-12.

Lyle/Pacelli's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-8. As for Glenville-Emmons, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Lyle/Pacelli took their victory against Glenville-Emmons in their previous matchup on September 4th by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Athletics since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
