Baseball Game Preview: Lebanon Greyhounds vs. Steeleville Warriors

Lebanon is 0-10 against Steeleville since April of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Greyhounds will square off against the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Lebanon has given up an average of 11.2 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Lebanon's offense. They lost 13-0 to Steeleville on Tuesday. The Greyhounds just can't catch a break and have now endured seven losses in a row.

For Steeleville's part, Tyler Ingles was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two triples, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave Ingles a new career-high. Colin Vallett was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Steeleville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Lebanon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Steeleville, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Lebanon has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Steeleville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.3 strikeouts.
