Sam Houston has gone 8-2 against Burbank recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Sam Houston Hurricanes will head out on the road to face off against the Burbank Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Sam Houston comes in on 18 and Burbank on seven.

On Thursday, Sam Houston made easy work of Highlands and carried off a 61-35 win. The Hurricanes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Sam Houston's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Faira Starks, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brenna Davis, who earned 12 points.

Meanwhile, Burbank was able to grind out a solid win over Brackenridge on Thursday, taking the game 80-71.

Burbank has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 18-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.3 points per game. As for Sam Houston, they pushed their record up to 27-4 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Sam Houston skirted past Burbank 61-59 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sam Houston since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
