El Modena can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. Everything went their way against the Magnolia Sentinels as El Modena made off with a 3-0 win. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Vanguards this season.

El Modena didn't let Magnolia take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23, 28-26.

El Modena's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Magnolia, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

After both having extra time off, El Modena and Villa Park will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Magnolia, they will venture away from home to take on Savanna at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Savanna will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Magnolia surely won't give up without a fight.
