Volleyball Recap: Lutheran Lions vs. Coronado Cougars

It was a proper cat-fight when Lutheran challenged Coronado on Saturday. The Lions fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 3-2.

Lutheran took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 18-25, 21-25, 25-17, 15-13.

Paul Trilling paced Lutheran's offense, picking up 22 kills. Trilling got some help from Eli Traylor and his 46 assists. Traylor was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Coronado, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-1.
