Softball Recap: Wilmot Comes Up Short

Wilmot lost against Elkhorn on April 3rd, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Panthers lost 17-3 to the Elks.

Wilmot saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Payton Biddle, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Lizzy Johnson was another, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Wilmot has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season. As for Elkhorn, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-5 record.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Wilmot is set to square off against their familiar foe Beloit Memorial at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Elkhorn will face off against rival Union Grove at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
