Volleyball Recap: Roosevelt Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home + How To Watch

Roosevelt lost against Timnath back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Roughriders took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cubs. While the Roughriders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cubs 25-18 in the first set.

Roosevelt started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-20, 25-20, 26-24.

Despite the loss, Roosevelt still got an impressive performance from Madi Kage, who had 30 digs. With that strong performance, Kage is now averaging an impressive 10.5 digs per game.

Brynleigh Firks went supernova For Timnath., getting 22 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Firks has posted since back in September. Lily McGill also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

Roosevelt's defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-7. As for Timnath, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Roosevelt didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Mountain View on the 28th. As for Timnath, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Poudre on the 25th.
