Softball Recap: Shabazz Takes a Loss

Shabazz dropped their record down to 8-6 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the University Phoenix, falling 20-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Phoenix this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-17 back in April.

As for University, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games.

For University's part, Tessiah Foster was a standout: she fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Tyjanae Fleming was another key player, going 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

As of now, neither Shabazz nor University have any future games scheduled.
