Volleyball Recap: St. Michael the Archangel Takes a Loss

St. Michael the Archangel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Lee's Summit North Broncos, falling 3-0. The Guardians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Broncos apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-11, 25-14.

David Rogge paced St. Michael the Archangel's offense, picking up ten kills. Rogge got some help from Kingston Jones and his 14 assists.

Among those leading the charge was Brayden Wilson, who had seven digs and two aces.

St. Michael the Archangel's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Lee's Summit North, the win was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-2-1.

St. Michael the Archangel didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against St. Pius X on the 5th. As for Lee's Summit North, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Edwardsville on the 2nd.
