Baseball Recap: Tracy Drops Season-High Score on Kimball

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tracy). They put the hurt on the Kimball Jaguars with a sharp 13-2 win on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won eight in a row.

Tracy let Jacoby Freitas and Derek Bogetti run wild. Freitas scored three runs and stole a base, while Bogetti scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Those three runs gave Freitas a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Alvarado, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Tracy pushed their record up to 6-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Kimball, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Tracy will have a chance to go back-to-back against Kimball: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
