Haverling waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came out on top against the Wayland-Cohocton Eagles by a score of 6-2. This was a revenge game for the Rams: when they faced off against the Eagles back in April, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

Kaili Witherell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ryleigh Laverty, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted over her last seven contests. Another player making a difference was Abigail Whaley, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Haverling's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Wayland-Cohocton, with the defeat, they broke their ten-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-2.
