Softball Recap: Wyoming Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Wyoming entered their tilt with Comstock Park on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 16-0 win. Considering the Wolves have won 14 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Teagyn Ager looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Danika Rawls, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 11 games. Nerissa Cruz was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs and one stolen base.

Wyoming always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .655. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Comstock Park only posted an OBP of .182.

Wyoming's record is now 24-8. As for Comstock Park, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.
