Volleyball Recap: Springfield Catholic Takes a Loss

Springfield Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lutheran Cougars. The Fighting Irish were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-21.

Springfield Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 0-21. As for Lutheran, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-15-1.

Springfield Catholic has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Logan-Rogersville on the 11th. As for Lutheran, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Park Hill South on the 11th.
