Baseball Recap: Mayer Lutheran Comes Up Short

Mayer Lutheran managed to slip by Lester Prairie the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Crusaders came up short against the Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 16-6. The Crusaders' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Mayer Lutheran saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonathan Deboer, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Mayer Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Lester Prairie, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-12.

Looking ahead, Mayer Lutheran will square off against Spectrum at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lester Prairie, they will face off against Legacy Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
