Edison came tearing into Friday's game with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Port Clinton Redskins a 9-0 shutout. Considering the Chargers have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Edison's victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Port Clinton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edison will welcome Bellevue at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Port Clinton, they will be playing at home against Monroeville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
