Templeton and Righetti are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Templeton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

Templeton had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Orcutt Academy put an end to it on Thursday. The Eagles fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 2-1. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Tegan Jay was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she pitched six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Templeton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailey Fiorenza, who went 2-for-4 with one double.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Righetti's offense. They lost 8-0 to St. Joseph on Friday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Templeton's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Righetti, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-8.

Templeton suffered a grim 13-2 defeat to Righetti in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
