Softball Recap: Scott Central Comes Up Short

After flying high against Forest last Saturday, Scott Central came back down to earth. Scott Central lost 24-11 to the Lake Hornets on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rebels of the 15-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Scott Central dropped their record down to 5-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Lake, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Scott Central is set to face off against their familiar foe Clarkdale at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lake will take on rival Newton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
