Softball Recap: Northfield Takes a Loss

Northfield lost against Peru back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Norsemen came up short against the Tigers, falling 9-3. The Norsemen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Northfield saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Wischman, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.

Northfield's record now sits at 2-6. As for Peru, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-5.

Coming up, Northfield will challenge Marion at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Norsemen are facing the Giants at the right time seeing as the Giants are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Peru, they will take on Argos at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dragons have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
