Football Recap: Northeast Vikings vs. Imhotep Charter Panthers
Northeast had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Saturday they dropped down to 0-5 to make it seven. They were dealt a 44-0 loss at the hands of the Imhotep Charter Panthers. Having soared to a lofty 33 points in the game before, the Vikings' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
As for Imhotep Charter, their win bumped their record up to 2-3. They have beaten Northeast the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Northeast has come to flipping the script.
Joey McLeish had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 273 yards and four TDs while picking up 11.4 yards per attempt.
Northeast wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 28-12 victory against West Philadelphia on the 27th. As for Imhotep Charter, they have also already played their next matchup, a 58-6 win against George Washington on the 26th.
