Basketball Recap: High Island Takes a Loss

High Island was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They were dealt a 57-15 defeat at the hands of the Chester Yellowjackets. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-23 back in January.

Sydney Brock went supernova for Chester, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 13 boards. Brock is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. Kyli Handley was another key player, going 7 for 13 on her way to 15 points and eight rebounds.

High Island's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Chester, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

High Island does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Chester has already played their next match (against Burkeville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
