Soccer Game Preview: Wayland vs. Gull Lake + How To Watch

The Wayland Wildcats will face off against the Gull Lake Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Wayland is headed into the match having not lost since September 15 and will look to keep things rolling. They and Wyoming finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Monday. While a more conclusive result would've been nice, Wayland got plenty of practice considering the match was the highest-scoring draw the team's played all season.

Meanwhile, Gull Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Kalamazoo Central, falling 5-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

With that draw, Wayland's record moves to 10-5-4. As for Gull Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11-2.

Wayland skirted past Gull Lake 2-1 in their previous meeting back in October of 2016. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
