Baseball Recap: American Canyon Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses at Home

With a playoff win on the line, American Canyon rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Stuart Hall Knights by a score of 3-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

Dylan Brown spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up seven Ks. American Canyon is 6-2 when Brown allows one or fewer earned runs, but 6-12 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Royce Hall was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.

American Canyon hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stuart Hall struck out seven times.

American Canyon's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-14. As for Stuart Hall, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-4.

Coming up, American Canyon will challenge Head-Royce at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Jayhawks' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Wolves' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Stuart Hall does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
