Softball Game Preview: Westchester Comets vs. Reseda Regents

The Westchester Comets will challenge the Reseda Regents at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Westchester played against Lakeview Charter on Friday and won via forfeit.

Reseda is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Everything went their way against George Washington Prep as they made off with a 31-5 win. The Regents might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by seven runs or more this season.

The victory (which was Reseda's third in a row) raised their record to 12-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Westchester, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.

Westchester couldn't quite get it done against Reseda when the teams last played back in March of 2015 as they fell 5-2. Can the Comets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
