Volleyball Recap: Skyline Eagles vs. Olympus Titans

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Skyline can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Olympus Titans on Monday. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Titans earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

While Skyline had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 21-25, 25-21, 25-22.

Mars Killen paced Skyline's offense, picking up 18 kills. Killen got some help from Tag Begley and his 35 assists. Lincoln Arnold controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Olympus can attribute much of their success to Luke Howell, who had six digs and three aces.

This is the second loss in a row for Skyline and nudges their season record down to 10-17. As for Olympus, their record now sits at 14-11.

Skyline does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Olympus, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Wasatch on the 9th.
