Softball Recap: Seaman Victorious

Seaman won the last time they faced Lansing and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Vikings narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Lions 10-8. That's two games straight that the Vikings have won by exactly two runs.

Lydia Dreher looked comfortable as she tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Avery Phelps, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Those runs were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Acey Thompson, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Seaman always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. The last time their OBP was this high was back in May of 2024.

The win made it two in a row for Seaman and bumps their season record up to 5-1.
